Historic Ormiston House is regarded as the birthplace of the Australian Sugar Industry. 

It was built by Hon. Captain Louis Hope and dates back to 1862.

 The beautiful house is considered to be one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in Queensland. 

The meticulously restored house, expansive grounds and beautiful gardens overlook stunning Moreton Bay to the East.


Ormiston House will reopen Sunday 16th March at 12pm. Devonshire tea and House tours will be available from 12-4pm with last gate entry at 3pm. We are open on the 2nd 3rd and 4th Sunday's of the month.
